HOW THE WEST WAS WON For fifty years, Acme was the world’s biggest maker of cowboy boots, delivering the wild West in a box to urban cowboys and Southern rebels everywhere. Boots like these classic vintage Acme distressed cowboy western boots, made back in the day when cowboy boots were – well, cowboy boots. Raised trim/piping forms a big cross on the shafts, front and back. Pretty damn rock n roll. Killer patina, a few scuffs and other signs of normal signs of wear.  The leather – superbly supple, pliable and foot-happy soft – is everything a man could want. You’ll wish that your entire mancave, and maybe your ride, was made of leather this good.  Immaculate inside. PRETTY DAMN ROCK N ROLL Classic Paul Bond black waxed calf custom vintage 70s cowboy boots – 17″ tall (floor to top), six gorgeous rows of red and white stitching, and of course his signature 2 3/4″ undershot heels.  Made back when Bond was still working in his shop.  Custom made, so no size visible, but should fit a men’s 12-ish.  No guarantees. Leather so good it may ruin you for any other boots.  Normal wear and a little roughness in spots.  Immaculate inside. Hand stitched, pegged Hypalon Biltrite work soles with nailed rubber heel caps.  Some wear to back of heel caps – a quick and easy fix.   Bond’s motto was “wear the legend”, and his boots more than lived up to it. Known as one of the best boot makers in the world, Bond spent 46 years in Nogales perfecting the art of the boot. And got pretty good at it along the way. Wear them once, and you’ll be an instant Bond addict.

LUCCHESE ADDICTS BEWARE Vintage 1980s USA-handmade Lucchese San Antonio velvety suede cowboy boots with modified mules ears, made in San Antonio, Texas. Lucchese San Antonio are the gold standard of Lucchese boots.  Modern Luccheses are like a good solid meal, but Lucchese San Antonios  – well, they’re like oxygen. Wear them once, and you’ll see why. Gorgeous condition.  So soft they may ruin you for any other boots.  Immaculate inside. John Fluevog’s Earl Of Warwicks Wessex wicked black leather biker harness engineer boots that are no longer made.  Best grab these now. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.  Crazy soft and supple leather that may ruin you for any other boots.  Lined in equally feel good soft leather.   Immaculate inside and out.  Stitched, pegged leather soles.   Fluevoggers, beware – temptation dead ahead.   Discontinued biker boots that are more punk than Docs, cooler than Red Wings. and cooler than … well, anything. Pretty much guaranteed to keep you happily rebellious, outside the box, and tragically hip in a very brooding, sexy way. As Fluevog put it, “this boot is going to up your street cred and total bad-assness. Go ahead, trade in your royal jewels for the industrial chains and harness ring, and come walk with the cool kids. ” We never argue with the experts.

THE HIPSTER’S WINGMAN USA-made Red Wing light brown leather biker work boots with the iconic cloth tag.  Classics in every way. Very little wear to these all-American icons.    Leather is beautifully broken in and a pleasure to wear.  Immaculate inside. Stitched Red Wing oil resistant soles and nailed Red Wing heel caps show almost no wear.   If the heritage movement and blue collar chic were indie bands, Red Wing boots would be their frontman. The heart wants what it wants.  Even if you are not a rapper, a Japanese hipster or an oil wildcatter, these classic Wings are pretty much something you just gotta have.  Your heart will demand them.  We’re talking love, and maybe obsession. THE SCIENCE OF DESIRE Exquisite vintage 1979 Dan Post brown lizard cowboy boots with inlaid lizard diamond cutouts, raised bands of piping on the vamps, and spectacular stitching.  Made in the USA back in the day when cowboy boots were – well, cowboy boots. Superb condition.  Leather so feel-good it may ruin you for any other boots.  Immaculate inside and out. THE ONLY HAND-ME-DOWN YOUR KIDS WILL FIGHT OVER WHEN YOU’RE GONE Older-than-sin vintage 50s 60s Nocona brown leather snub nose pee wee cowboy western boots with squared off snub nose toes, understated stitched flowers, and yellow cloth pulls embroidered with “NOCONA BOOTS.  NOCONA, TEXAS”.  Handcrafted in the USA with boot addicts like you in mind. Leather so foot happy soft it may ruin you for any other pair.  No cracklings or cracks.  Some darker spots – we haven’t cleaned these up, as we think it gives them character.  However a good polish would bring the color right up.  Immaculate inside.  Killer patina.   Hand stitched, wood pegged leather soles in great condition with 28 square wood pegs per boot.  Nailed rubber heel caps.  Black embroidery on wide yellow cloth pulls is vivid and unfaded. Saunter down memory lane.  Back when drive-in movies were a thrill, love was the answer, King had a dream, and rock n roll was the most dangerous thing around. We landed on the moon, thought James Dean hung it, and believed in happily ever after.  Cars and boots were made in America, jobs were forever, and friendships were face to face, not Facebook. REBEL YELL Rare vintage US-made 1950s 1960s Dodge City black leather western cowboy boots with spectacular inlaid gold, orange and white sunbursts, and more than their fair share of outlaw mojo. Leather so foot happy soft it may ruin you for any other pair.  Some light cracklings (not cracks) on vamps. Some color fading on back of boots – we haven’t polished these, as we think it gives them character. However a good polish would bring the color right up. Immaculate inside.  Killer patina. Stitched, wood pegged leather soles in great condition.   Great boots speak for themselves.  Boots like these, it’ll be more of a rebel yell. Made in Stewart’s little shop in Tucson, Arizona, where for 50 years Victor Borg has crafted boots for hundreds of rabid fans, including Billy Crystal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood and Cuba’s current leader, Raul Castro. Pretty much flawless. Leather so soft it may ruin you for any other boots.  Immaculate inside. Hand stitched, pegged leather soles in great condition   There’s no such thing as people who like Stewart Boots Co cowboy boots. Only Stewart Boot Co. addicts. If you ever have the good fortune to wear a pair of these old beauties from the little shop in Tucson, Arizona, you’re hooked for life … or beyond. Beautiful condition for their age. We didn’t touch the distressed areas with polish, as we think they look pretty cool the way they are. LUCCHESE ADDICTS BEWARE Vintage 1980s USA-handmade Lucchese San Antonio lush brown French toe kicks with modified mules ears, made in San Antonio, Texas.  An unusual find in this large a size and superb condition.  Lucchese San Antonio are the gold standard of Lucchese boots.  One diehard cowboy boot addict once told me that modern Luccheses were like a good solid meal, but Lucchese San Antonios  – well, they were like oxygen. Wear them once, and you’ll see why. Gorgeous condition.  One tiny white spot (paint?) and a couple very minor scuffs keep these from being absolutely perfect. Hand stitched, double row wood pegged leather soles in beautiful condition.  72 wood pegs per boot.   There are no Lucchese fans – just addicts. LUCCHESE ADDICTS BEWARE Vintage 1989 USA-handmade Lucchese Classics ostrich kicks in their original mailing box from Lucchese – including the 1989 postmark. Flawless. Worn only a couple times, and it shows. These look like they just came out of the Lucchese shop. Leather so soft it may ruin you for any other boots.  Immaculate inside. Hand stitched, double row wood pegged leather soles in beautiful condition. 32 wood pegs per boot. “Lucchese Handmade” stamp on soles still very visible.   These are a real piece of boot history, with their original Lucchese mailing box, including the September 22, 1989 postmark and the original buyer’s mailing label. His name has been cropped out of the pic. Very rare to find a pair of Lucchese Classics ostrich boots in this condition. Original owner wore them a couple times and then stored them in their Lucchese mailing box – for 31 years. Grab these boots and do a little time traveling.
